Open everyday from 8 am to 10 pm, this market is nearby Lake Nakki. Hence, it is the first manmade lake in India. Surrounded by lush greenery, the Nakki Lake market is a good spot to watch the life of Mount Abu unfold in front of you. Different categories of boat rides are available with a minimum price of INR250 for half an hour. There is a special water roller for kids. Good place to spend time here. Moreover, the adjoining garden has a lot of sitting arrangements and spots for photos. Enough eateries around Nakki lake with good quality and variety.
2. Piccadilly Plaza
Known as one of the best emporiums of Rajasthani handicrafts in Mount Abu, this Plaza sits opposite to a Polo ground. It is a two storey building. Therefore, the first floor has separate sections for marble and metal handicrafts. And the second floor is dedicated entirely to traditional Rajasthani clothes. Piccadilly plaza also houses pure silver jewellery. It is open from 9am to 6pm everyday.
3. Kashmir Cottage Emporium
Also lying in the vicinity of Nakki Lake, it is perhaps the most unique shop in all of Mount Abu. As the name suggests, this shop exclusively sells only traditional Kashmiri textiles and handicraft items – from Kashmiri shawls to Kashmiri artisan crafted products. Open from 10 am to 6 pm, it can be found on the Nakki Lake road.
4. Fair Price Rajasthan Emporium
This emporium specialises in metal, stone and wooden handicraft items from the state. Historically, the emporium was an antique gift shop which recently expanded and got converted into an emporium. It sources rare metal handicrafts from all over the state. Therefore, these items represent the culture of Rajasthan and are highly sought after by locals and tourists. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, it can also be found on the Nakki Lake road.
5. Chacha Museum
Once the main shopping market of Mount Abu, this 40-year-old shop offers a range of gift items, souvenirs, handicrafts and local arts. The shop mainly promotes Rajasthani handicrafts such as exquisite brass artefacts, wooden items and the most colourful quilts which anyone would love to take home with them. It is open 10 am to 6 pm and is located in the Main Bazar area in the city.
6. Khadi Bhanda
This is the one-stop shopping destination for all things Khadi. From traditional Rajasthani clothes to classic souvenirs, one can find many products here to commemorate your visit to this bazaar. Although shopping here is an incomplete experience without classy ethnic wear from the Bhandar. Therefore, this is a great location for those looking for sandalwood, handloom, mirror-work and cotton textile products. Khadi Bhandar is open 10 am to 5 pm and is also on the Nakki Lake road.
