4 Major Sculpting Techniques used to Make Sculptures

  • Casting: Cast sculptures are formed from a melted material, usually metal, that is then poured into a mould. The metal, commonly bronze, is hardened by allowing the mould to cool. Casting is a process that is both one of the additives and subtractive sculpting techniques. It is one of the sculpting techniques in family therapy that is used often. Sculpture Art in India

Sculpture Art is one of the earliest art forms in India. With roots dating back to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation (c.3300-1300 BCE) and the ancient Mesopotamian period (c. 3100 BC- 539 BC). Sculptures have been an important aspect of life documentation in the Indian subcontinent. Human and animal figurines, as well as religious sculptures, from various periods in the region, bear witness to the aforementioned.
