Rajasthan Studio Awarded at an International Platform

If you’re a traveller who craves more than the usual sightseeing, Rajasthan Studio might just be your dream come true. From hands-on pottery sessions to intricate block printing, Rajasthan Studio connects you with master artisans to create unforgettable, one-of-a-kind travel experiences. And here’s the big news: Rajasthan Studio just won the prestigious Global Responsible Tourism Award for Championing Cultural Diversity! Let’s take a look at what makes Rajasthan Studio’s win so special.

Every year, the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) celebrates projects that go above and beyond to make tourism more meaningful and sustainable. Their Global Responsible Tourism Awards, sponsored by Sabre, highlight the heroes who are setting the bar for responsible travel – those whose initiatives aren’t just feel-good moments but genuinely impactful and replicable solutions.

This year, Rajasthan Studio took part in three award categories:

  • Championing Cultural Diversity
  • Increasing Local Sourcing – Creating Shared Value
  • Employing and Upskilling Local Communities

And here’s the exciting part: Rajasthan Studio won at a global level in the Championing Cultural Diversity category.

This isn’t just a title – it’s a nod to the meaningful connections they foster between travellers and artisans, ensuring that Rajasthan’s cultural identity shines bright.

The judges were particularly impressed by Rajasthan Studio’s potential to replicate this model. The concept of art-based cultural experiences can be expanded to other regions in India and, one day, across the globe. Imagine a world where local artisans everywhere can connect with travellers, share their heritage, and sustain their craft. Rajasthan Studio is pioneering a new way to travel – personal, impactful, and endlessly inspiring.

Harold Goodwin, founder of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism Global said, “too often the term sustainable is used only in an abstract sense. Responsible Tourism requires us to say what we are doing to make tourism better and to be transparent about what we achieve. That’s why all the award winners we are celebrating today are evidence-based, replicable, innovative and are actively influencing and inspiring others. Each winner has something we can all learn from.”

These experiences allow travellers to learn directly from local artisans, making each visit personal and enriching. You’re not just taking home a souvenir – you’re taking home a piece of Rajasthan’s soul. Whether learning about traditional block printing or exploring puppet-making, these interactions allow visitors to immerse themselves in local culture respectfully and authentically.

Supporting Local Communities – More Than Just Art

Rajasthan Studio’s dedication goes beyond providing unique travel experiences. By working directly with local artisans, they’re creating sustainable income opportunities and helping keep cultural traditions alive. Every experience you participate in is directly contributing to a local community, and that’s something worth celebrating!

They’re setting their sights on creating a model that isn’t just impactful in Rajasthan but can be replicated in other regions and countries. And with this recent award, they’re one step closer to achieving that vision.
