He took up the guidance of renowned painters, Ram Gopal Vijayvargiya and Ved Pal Sharma and (Bannu) to learn Mughal and company styles of painting as well as traditional art. He has also restored old paintings in City Palace, Jaipur and Prince Wales Museum, Mumbai and they also have a collection of his paintings.
In the last few years, he has not only been experimenting with new creativity but also has started working in modern miniature and contemporary art continuing with the miniature technique. His work is infused with delicacy and fineness of strokes that reveal his mastery over the technique of miniature painting.
Know more about the Art Form
The art of Miniature painting was introduced to the land of India by the Mughals. They were the ones who brought the much-revealed art form from Persia. The particular miniature produced by Indian artists in their style is known as Rajput or Rajasthani miniature. This art originated in the 16th century. Known for its incredibly detailed and elaborate style of images, it is created on a highly minute canvas to bring out enchanting visuals.
The art form was first commissioned by Rajput kings to preserve the royal festivities in a narrative format. In Rajasthan, the location of the artisan modifies the painting styles and patterns. Furthermore, every place tells a different story. Hunting scenes in Alwar, Deccan and Mughal elements in Bundi, and Hindu myths and legends in Bikaner are a few examples of such.
