Meet an Expert

Vidhan Tanwar

Vidhan Tanwar is continuing the legacy of his father Mr Chunnilal Tanwar and has been managing the shop since 1980. He makes sure that every type of Sherbet is of top quality.

Chunnilal started this Sherbet business in 1939 when he was just 18 years old. Chunnilal first opened a betel leaf shop, where he offered Sherbet as an addition. Over time, people began to love the Sherbet so much that he decided to focus on it completely.

Know about the Culinary Tradition

Sherbet is a traditional drink that has deep roots in various cultures, particularly in South Asia and the Middle East.  The term “sherbet” comes from the Arabic word “sharba,” which means to drink. It has been enjoyed for centuries, often associated with hospitality and celebration. Sherbet is often served at gatherings, festivals, and special occasions, symbolizing warmth and welcome.

These sweet, flavored drinks are typically made from a variety of fruits, herbs, and spices, often mixed with water or milk. In some cultures, it’s also believed to have medicinal properties. Sherbet continues to be a beloved beverage, connecting generations through its rich flavours and cultural heritage.
