Gouache art is for all those opaque lovers who want something more steady & dense. Gouache body color, or opaque watercolor.is one type of water media, paint consisting of natural pigment, water, a binding agent.
To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special Gouache Art Workshop and invited Shreya Ghosh
Shreya Ghosh is from Guwahati, Assam. She has been into art since childhood. She loves to try and experiment with new mediums. Art is her hobby and until lockdown, she rarely had time to practice and enhance her skills. After lock down, she had ample time and then decided to open an art page on Instagram. She loves watercolors, acrylics, and gouache. She also started to do art journaling, mandalas, and brush lettering. And now there’s no more looking back. I want to carry on with my art page and make art a part of my daily routine amidst the other academic work.
Gouache Art Workshop Began
The Gouache Art Workshop began with a short introduction of the artist who gave options for the art piece to be drawn in the workshop. We started with taping up the border and then prepared a rough sketch. We started painting the landscape and painted the sky first with Persian blue. She taught everyone about the blending technique and painted the sky. We then painted the mountains in greenish color. Then the artist added grass, sun, flowers to the art piece.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
We then moved further and the artist added some beautiful flowers with vibrant colors also the stem and completed the landscape. All the attendees displayed their artwork to the artist, it was a mesmerizing art piece that was created in the workshop. The attendees seemed immersed in the workshop and also asked for another workshop.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
