Mohammad Yunus is a master in the Bandhani technique of tie and dye. He creates vibrant textile designs using natural dyes and intricate knotting, producing stunning saris and garments. With the use of three main colours/natural ingredients he can create 250+ shades of colours. He is committed to sustainability, he also inspires new artisans through workshops and has gained recognition in art circles worldwide for his work.

Tie and dye is a traditional Indian textile art that is more than 4000 years old. It involves tying fabric sections before dyeing to create intricate patterns. Originating mainly from Rajasthan and Gujarat, this technique produces vibrant designs, often featuring circular or spiral motifs, in beautiful saris, dupattas, and garments. Using natural or synthetic dyes, skilled artisans employ unique techniques passed down through generations, making tie and dye a cherished part of India’s textile heritage.
