Celebrating One Year Of Jaipur Marketplace

Celebrating One Year Of Jaipur Marketplace

Exactly one year ago we started our Jaipur marketplace journey. This was with a handful of artists to glorify the rich culture of Rajasthan through art and folklore. Today we are more than that. This is not just in terms of the members, but also in terms of talent and creativity. Rajasthan Studio has completed one year of curating art experiences. It has helped art lovers and travelers to connect with passionate artists through their marketplace. As a niche travel company and is India’s leading platform for artists, we are happy to serve them.

So far we have established fifteen rich and detailed art experiences. We have collaborated with the awards winning artists such as Padma Shri S. Shakir Ali, Shri Jaswant Kumar Meenakar and Shri Prithvi Raj Kumawat is our living encyclopedia on Gemstone. He carves beautiful personalized designs on gemstones. There is also Shri Gopal Saini who makes the world-famous Blue Pottery of Jaipur and many more.

Celebrating new beginnings

We followed the Indian legacy of celebrating new beginnings with something sweet. Our team members sent a pack of almond chocolate ice-cream at the residence of all our artists. At exactly 09:10:19 PM on 9 October 2019 we virtually celebrated the beginning of the Jaipur Marketplace. Ever since then we are one big family who follows the mantra of “the family who stays together, celebrates together”.

Distance doesn’t matter when hearts are connected. To be emotionally there with all the artists during the festivals is our token of gratitude. Rajasthan Studio also shares festival hampers with all the artists. What good is a family if there is no day outing, right? Like an Indian who is extremely fond of cricket, we organized a friendly cricket match between the artists and our team members. It turned to be a perfect day full of joy, fun, art talks, and laughter!

Going online

The winter season brings along the tour to Rajasthan. It makes for a perfect season for us to grow together. We also started hosting not only foreign and domestic tourists but also art students and art enthusiasts from across India. With the fall of winter came a new experience that forced the entire world to stay indoors. Coming face to face with the problem of zero tourism, we decided to take our marketplace online.

Now the only distance that the art enthusiasts have to cover to meet the master artist is a video call away. All they had to do was book a personalised online experience with the artist through our website and they could virtually experience any art form from the comfort of their living room without being jet-lagged or complaining about the traffic.

As we are seeing a ray of light at the end of the long tunnel, we have braced ourselves and ready to host the coming tourism season with all safety and precautions. Our travel assistants and marketplace artists are COVID-ready and strictly following the guidelines provided by WHO and taking the utmost precautions in hosting the guests.

This one year journey of Jaipur Marketplace has been a rollercoaster ride full of new learnings and new experiences. We do not mark this day the end of one year, but the start of many more years, art experiences and creative artists that are in store for us!
